OUR STORY
We came to the Yorkshire Dales in 2017 with the idea of creating a glamping site, having lived and worked around London for the past 20 years. With much work and imagination we finally have our planning permission, work is progressing and we open 24th May 2019.
Over the last year we have been welcoming visitors to stay at our holiday cottage on the farm West Shaw Cote Cottage, we've learned how to look after pigs and chickens, dug ourselves out when 'the beast from the east ' struck, raised a new born lamb by the aga and hatched chicks. All in all its been quite a journey and we're now looking forward to welcoming our first Glamping guests

There's a wealth of small producers in the dales many of which run courses to help you develop your skills from cookery to photography, felting, jewellery making and artisan cheese making courses, here a few of the courses on offer.

As part of our welcome pack in your yurt we've partnered with Inspired chocolate to provide you with a little treat .
Based near Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales, Inspired Chocolate make high-quality artisanal chocolates in our purpose built Chocolate Factory. We use fine Belgian couverture assuring premium quality palm oil free chocolate and ethical sourcing, then fuse it with Yorkshire craftsmanship to produce beautiful and delicious chocolates. These are not chocolates you will find in the supermarket. We are a family business with core values of quality, customer service, ethical practices and environmental responsibility.

Throughout the year they run various chocolate themed workshops and classes

Chocolate Pizza or Lolly Making - approx. 30 mins. Suitable for all ages.
Model Sheep & Pig Making - approx. 30 mins. Suitable for 8 years and over.
Truffle Making Class - minimum of 2 people, approx. 1 hr. Suitable for adults.
These classes do not need to be booked in advance but can become very popular during holidays and weekends.
We also hold premium truffle classes minimum 2 people which does need to be booked in advance, approx. 1.5hrs. In this class total of 8 truffles will be made with a fresh ganache, flavours to choose from and toppings to decorate plus a glass of prosecco to enjoy in the class.
